DeNel Stoltz, a marketing graduate from the UO Lundquist College of Business, joined the School of Music and Dance as the director of development August 2003.

Stoltz is heading the $19 million building renovation and expansion, which will add half again as much space of new construction to the existing building. Other fundraising priorities for the school include: student scholarships, support for the faculty and curriculum, equipment and instruments, and guest artists.

Stoltz was a major gifts fundraiser for the UO College of Arts and Sciences the previous six years. Prior to that, she served as director of development or executive director for several non-profit agencies in Eugene, Oregon.

DeNel is a former high school pianist and flutist, and presently an avid Argentine Tango dancer since 2000.
