Yellow Garter Band

The Oregon Yellow Garter Band (YGB) was formed in 2002 to help fulfill the numerous requests for the Green Garter Band to perform at a variety of events, both university-related and otherwise. The twelve-member group has played at select women's volleyball, basketball, and softball home games, and other community events. Like the Oregon Green Garter Band, the YGB is an audition group, dedicated to providing the ultimate in performance energy and quality. All rehearsals, booking, and management is handled by the band members. Members must be full-time students at the UO and, together with the Green Garter Band, make up the core of the Oregon Marching Band and Oregon Basketball Band. Everyone in the YGB receives a book scholarship for each year they are in the group.
